1927
Joseph Keefe started in the fence business and installed his very first fence. A cedar picket fence that was eventually painted white. The original company name was “Cedrus Company”. It was named after the genus name for Cedar Trees.
1929
Aluminum fence was invented. Jerith Fence out of Philadelphia manufactured the first aluminum fence. This was the first time aluminum was extruded to create a wrought iron style fence.
1957
A horrible fire destroyed the Cedus Company and Joseph Keefe had to rebuild.
1977
Vinyl Fencing was invented and The first Vinyl fence was installed in the midwest. It was described as a “Ranch Rail” type fence and was made of UV Stabilized PVC
1979
Joseph Keefe Passed away and left his fence company to his loving family. His Children helped pioneer the modern fence company and helped shape fencing to the industry that it is today.
1996
A 100 year flood destroyed Joseph Keefe’s original fence company and the family had to rebuild
2006
Keefe family expanded to vinyl fence fabrication and became the one of the largest vinyl fence producers in the midwest.
2008
Grew product line to include aluminum fencing. The Keefe family again became one of the largest fabricators of Aluminum fence in the midwest.
2016
Mae Fence Moves the Headquarters to Fulton OH
